Tagged Under : Engagement, Old Bedford Village

I have had the pleasure of knowing Sam since I was in junior high. Jordan, I just recently met. Still, I know a good thing when I see it. These two are absolutely adorable together. I wish them both the best and look forward to being a part of their wedding next year.

Their engagement shoot took place in Old Bedford Village, the place the couple met. A special thanks goes out to the staff of Old Bedford Village for allowing us to use their beautiful setting for a backdrop for these portraits.

Baby Madeline

My first infant photography session. Meet my new baby cousin! She was only 2-weeks old for her first photo shoot. Don’t worry, she didn’t take it easy on me.

If you could see Madeline’s face in this picture she would be screaming. She didn’t like this photo idea.

ARIEL – EHS

Meet my first senior portrait session for the class of 2009. Ariel’s senior portraits were a joy to shoot and I am excited to share just a few of my edits on my blog. When I graduated in 2003, Ariel was just a girl in sixth grade. What a beautiful, photogenic woman she has become. I don’t think that she took a bad picture. Thanks to Ariel and her mother for letting me take a small part in helping to preserve the memories of her senior year.

Thank you for taking a look at some of my edits from the Ariel’s senior portrait session. To view all of her images and order some prints for yourself, click HERE.

This shot looked gorgeous in color and black and white. I chose the black and white for the more serious shot because I thought it added a nice dramatic effect.

A talented singer and actress, Ariel looks at home in front of a camera.

I love the spontaneity of this shot. It may not be your typical senior portrait but I this moment when she is caught off-guard.

I provided Ariel with many variations of this shot. Personally, I prefer this plan version. I think there is a great deal of beauty in its simplicity. Doesn’t she look like she belongs on the cover of a CD?

This is a collage using the previous shot. This collage combines Ariel’s singing and acting together by showing some of her lead characters from Everett High School musicals.

These stage pictures where taken at Old Bedford Village. Thank you to everyone who helped make these pictures possible.

I could not have custom ordered these flowers better for this picture. Thank you to Patty and Arlen for the use of there beautiful landscaping and letting my seniors roll around in their flower beds!

I like the sun flare in this picture. I did use Photoshop to increase the effect.

I purposefully made this a high-key image. This was made to be viewed in black and white.

Thank you for taking a look at some of my edits from the Ariel’s senior portrait session. To view all of her images and order some prints for yourself, check back for the updated link

THE ATHERTON TWINS – EHS

A special thanks to Mr. Waltman for getting us into the lockerroom and providing the play in the background of the image.

OUTSIDE SESSION – LOCATION – JUNIATA CROSSING

Blackstone Photography thanks Paula Clingerman for the use of her beautiful location for the boys outside photographs.

RUNNING TO THE ALTER 2

This seemed to be the summer of runner weddings! Both the bride and the groom where teammates of mine in college. They had a beautiful ceremony tucked away in the mountains of Jim Thorpe, PA. I couldn’t be happier to see these two finally get married. I knew the first time I met them they would end up togethe one day. All my love to the happy couple. I wish you many happy years together.

Enjoy my edits of some pictures from Matt and Steph’s special day. Order pictures for yourself by clicking HERE.

Matt and Steph enjoyed beautiful skis on their wedding day but only after a morning downpour for the group run in the morning.

Steph taught a yoga class after the morning run. This was definitely a first as a wedding photographer.

Jim Thorpe was a beautiful place for a summer wedding. The bridal party stayed in this lovely little cottage.

What a guy! Matt did a great job taking the boys and setting up for the ceremony.

This wedding shows why everyone should marry a runner.

THE GIRLS GETTING READY

Every member of the bridal party was a has toed the line with a cross-country team at one time or another.

“Everything is funner with a runner.”

Jenny liked this “death on a golf course” shot. P.S. so did all the golfers watching.

THE GUYS

They thought I was crazy when I took this picture but everyone seemed to like the results.

Ivey Wedding Day

Tagged Under : Add new tag, bride, groom, maid of honor, ring bearer, Summer Weddings 2008, veil

This wedding was my first as a college graduate. What a great couple! These two will no doubt be together a long time. It was an honor to be a part of your special day. I wish you both the best.

COUPLE

I loved this light post. As you can tell, I had fun with it in these photographs.

PREPARATION

This is a good photojournalism moment She still looks beautiful even when she has a bobby pin shoved into her scalp.

BRIDAL PARTY

PORTRAITS

It was apparent that these two have been friends for a long time.

The brothers of the bride let the groom know he better watch out.

MOM AND DAD

BRIDALS

This was not a posed portrait. I thought she looked so pretty sitting on the step before the ceremony. I waited for her to look up and snapped the shot.

These shots were done by using her dress as a background and the veil in the foreground. The sunlight shinning through added that heavenly glow.

Stefanie and Jeremy’s Wedding Day

Filed Under (Hayes Wedding, Summer Weddings 2008) by sblackst on 05-07-2008

Tagged Under : bridal party, bride, golf course, groom, ketchup, Summer Weddings 2008

Stefanie and Jeremy booked their wedding with me well over a year ago and it was an honor to finally be able to take part in their special day. What a happy couple! Just look at the big smile on Stefanie’s face, it says it all. I wish you both the best. I hope everyone enjoys viewing these photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them! Order some prints for yourself by clicking HERE.

MR. AND MRS. HAYES

A special thanks to the videographer who helped to drop the rose petals in front of my camera for this shot.

Their first dance as man and wife.

THE BRIDE

This is my favorite Bridal to date. I love Stefanie’s smile.

The sun was just starting to set when I took this picture of Stefanie. It looked as though the sun was shining just on her.

GIRLS BRIDAL PARTY

GUYS BRIDAL PARTY

BRIDAL PARTY

The bridesmaid on the end amazed me with the height she got in a dress. Did you play basketball?

FATHERS

Stefanie and her dad prepare to walk down the aisle.

Jeremy’s dad arrived at the ceremony in style.

WEDDING DETAILS

The dress looked fabulous once the bridesmaids put it on the right way.

I loved this booth. It looked like something straight out of the 1920’s.

Jeremy found a way to combine romance with his Pittsburgh pride when he proposed to Stefanie. He used this bottle to ask her to marry him. Their wedding favors where the little ketchup bottles in the background. How original!

CEREMONY

He’s so cute I just had to include him on this page. He has a good smile just like his aunt.
